وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ ۖ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ ١٧٩

And surely, We have created many of the jinns and mankind for Hell. They have hearts wherewith they understand not, they have eyes wherewith they see not, and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth). They are like cattle, nay even more astray; those! They are the heedless ones.

وَلَقَدْ ذَرَأْنَا لِجَهَنَّمَ كَثِيرًا مِّنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنسِ ۖ

And surely, We have created many of the jinns and mankind for Hell.

لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ لَّا يَفْقَهُونَ بِهَا

They have hearts wherewith they understand not,

وَلَهُمْ أَعْيُنٌ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ بِهَا

they have eyes wherewith they see not,

وَلَهُمْ آذَانٌ لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۚ

and they have ears wherewith they hear not (the truth).

أُولَٰئِكَ كَالْأَنْعَامِ

They are like cattle,

بَلْ هُمْ أَضَلُّ ۚ

nay even more astray;

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْغَافِلُونَ

those! They are the heedless ones.

وَلِلَّهِ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا ۖ وَذَرُوا الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي أَسْمَائِهِ ۚ سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ١٨٠

And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names. They will be requited for what they used to do.

وَلِلَّهِ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ

And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah,

فَادْعُوهُ بِهَا ۖ

so call on Him by them,

وَذَرُوا الَّذِينَ يُلْحِدُونَ فِي أَسْمَائِهِ ۚ

and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His Names.

سَيُجْزَوْنَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

They will be requited for what they used to do.

وَمِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا أُمَّةٌ يَهْدُونَ بِالْحَقِّ وَبِهِ يَعْدِلُونَ ١٨١

And of those whom We have created, there is a community who guides (others) with the truth, and establishes justice therewith.

وَمِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا

And of those whom We have created

أُمَّةٌ يَهْدُونَ بِالْحَقِّ

there is a community who guides (others) with the truth

وَبِهِ يَعْدِلُونَ

and establishes justice therewith

وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٨٢

Those who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), We shall gradually seize them with punishment in ways they perceive not.

وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا

Those who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)

سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم

We shall gradually seize them

مِّنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

with punishment in ways they perceive not.

وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ ١٨٣

And I respite them; certainly My Plan is strong.

وَأُمْلِي لَهُمْ ۚ

And I respite them

إِنَّ كَيْدِي مَتِينٌ

certainly My Plan is strong

أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا ۗ مَا بِصَاحِبِهِم مِّن جِنَّةٍ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ١٨٤

Do they not reflect? There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad SAW). He is but a plain warner.

أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا ۗ

Do they not reflect?

مَا بِصَاحِبِهِم مِّن جِنَّةٍ ۚ

There is no madness in their companion (Muhammad SAW).

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ

He is but a plain warner.

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ ١٨٥

Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created, and that it may be that the end of their lives is near. In what message after this will they then believe?

أَوَلَمْ يَنظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ

Do they not look in the dominion of the heavens and the earth

وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ

and all things that Allah has created

وَأَنْ عَسَىٰ أَن يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ

and that it may be that the end of their lives is near.

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ

In what message after this will they then believe?

مَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ ۚ وَيَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ١٨٦

Whomsoever Allah sends astray, none can guide him; and He lets them wander blindly in their transgressions.

مَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ

Whomsoever Allah sends astray,

فَلَا هَادِيَ لَهُ ۚ

none can guide him;

وَيَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ

and He lets them wander blindly in their transgressions.

يَعْمَهُونَ

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي ۖ لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً ۗ يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٨٧

They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): "When will be its appointed time?" Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden." They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone) but most of mankind know not."

يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ

They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection):

أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا ۖ

"When will be its appointed time?"

قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي ۖ

Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone).

لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ

None can reveal its time but He.

ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ

Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth.

لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً ۗ

It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden.

يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ

They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it.

قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللَّهِ

Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone)

وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

but most of mankind know not.

قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ لَاسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ وَمَا مَسَّنِيَ السُّوءُ ۚ إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ ١٨٨

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I possess no power of benefit or hurt to myself except as Allah wills. If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen), I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth, and no evil should have touched me. I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings unto people who believe."

قُل لَّا أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِي نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ

Say (O Muhammad SAW): 'I possess no power of benefit or hurt to myself except as Allah wills.'

وَلَوْ كُنتُ أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ

If I had the knowledge of the Ghaib (unseen),

لَاسْتَكْثَرْتُ مِنَ الْخَيْرِ

I should have secured for myself an abundance of wealth,

وَمَا مَسَّنِيَ السُّوءُ ۚ

and no evil should have touched me.

إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ وَبَشِيرٌ

I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings

لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ

unto people who believe.
