لَا أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ ١
I swear by this city (Makkah);
- لَا أُقْسِمُ
- I swear
- بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ
- by this city (Makkah)
وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ ٢
And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah).
- وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ
- And you are free (from sin)
- بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ
- in this city (Makkah)
- to punish the enemies of Islam
- on the Day of the conquest
وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ ٣
And by the begetter (i.e. Adam) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny);
- وَوَالِدٍ
- And by the begetter
- وَمَا وَلَدَ
- and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny)
لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي كَبَدٍ ٤
Verily, We have created man in toil.
- لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا
- Verily, We have created
- الْإِنسَانَ
- man
- فِي كَبَدٍ
- in toil
