وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ٥١
And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham).
- وَنَبِّئْهُمْ
- And tell them
- عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
- about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham)
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ ٥٢
When they entered unto him, and said: Salaman (peace)! [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you."
- إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ
- When they entered unto him
- فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا
- and said: Salaman (peace)!
- قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ
- Ibrahim (Abraham) said: 'Indeed! We are afraid of you.'
قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ ٥٣
They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom."
- قَالُوا
- They (the angels) said:
- لَا تَوْجَلْ
- Do not be afraid!
- إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ
- We give you glad tidings
- بِغُلَامٍ
- of a boy (son)
- عَلِيمٍ
- possessing much knowledge and wisdom.
قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ ٥٤
[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?"
- قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي
- Do you give me glad tidings
- عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ
- when old age has overtaken me?
- فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
- Of what then is your news?
قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ ٥٥
They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones."
- قَالُوا
- They (the angels) said:
- بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ
- We give you glad tidings in truth.
- فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ
- So be not of the despairing ones.
قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ ٥٦
[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?"
- قَالَ
- said
- وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ
- And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord
- إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ
- except those who are astray?
