وَنَبِّئْهُمْ عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ٥١

And tell them about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham).

وَنَبِّئْهُمْ
And tell them
عَن ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
about the guests (the angels) of Ibrahim (Abraham)

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ ٥٢

When they entered unto him, and said: Salaman (peace)! [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Indeed! We are afraid of you."

إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ
When they entered unto him
فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا
and said: Salaman (peace)!
قَالَ إِنَّا مِنكُمْ وَجِلُونَ
Ibrahim (Abraham) said: 'Indeed! We are afraid of you.'

قَالُوا لَا تَوْجَلْ إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ ٥٣

They (the angels) said: "Do not be afraid! We give you glad tidings of a boy (son) possessing much knowledge and wisdom."

قَالُوا
They (the angels) said:
لَا تَوْجَلْ
Do not be afraid!
إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ
We give you glad tidings
بِغُلَامٍ
of a boy (son)
عَلِيمٍ
possessing much knowledge and wisdom.

قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ ٥٤

[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you give me glad tidings (of a son) when old age has overtaken me? Of what then is your news?"

قَالَ أَبَشَّرْتُمُونِي
Do you give me glad tidings
عَلَىٰ أَن مَّسَّنِيَ الْكِبَرُ
when old age has overtaken me?
فَبِمَ تُبَشِّرُونَ
Of what then is your news?

قَالُوا بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ ٥٥

They (the angels) said: "We give you glad tidings in truth. So be not of the despairing ones."

قَالُوا
They (the angels) said:
بَشَّرْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ
We give you glad tidings in truth.
فَلَا تَكُن مِّنَ الْقَانِطِينَ
So be not of the despairing ones.

قَالَ وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ ٥٦

[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?"

قَالَ
said
وَمَن يَقْنَطُ مِن رَّحْمَةِ رَبِّهِ
And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord
إِلَّا الضَّالُّونَ
except those who are astray?
