فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ وَاتَّقَىٰ ٥

As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him,

فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَىٰ

As for him who gives (in charity)

وَاتَّقَىٰ

and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him

وَصَدَّقَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ٦

And believes in Al-Husna.

وَصَدَّقَ

And believes

بِالْحُسْنَىٰ

in Al-Husna

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ ٧

We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness).

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ

We will make smooth for him

لِلْيُسْرَىٰ

the path of ease (goodness)

وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ ٨

But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.

وَأَمَّا مَن بَخِلَ

But he who is greedy miser

وَاسْتَغْنَىٰ

and thinks himself self-sufficient

وَكَذَّبَ بِالْحُسْنَىٰ ٩

And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote);

وَكَذَّبَ

And gives the lie to

بِالْحُسْنَىٰ

Al-Husna

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلْعُسْرَىٰ ١٠

We will make smooth for him the path for evil;

فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ

We will make smooth for him

لِلْعُسْرَىٰ

the path for evil

وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ مَالُهُ إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ ١١

And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction).

وَمَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُ

And what will benefit him

مَالُهُ

his wealth

إِذَا تَرَدَّىٰ

when he goes down (in destruction)

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا لَلْهُدَىٰ ١٢

Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance,

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا

Truly! Ours it is

لَلْهُدَىٰ

(to give) guidance

وَإِنَّ لَنَا لَلْآخِرَةَ وَالْأُولَىٰ ١٣

And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world).

وَإِنَّ لَنَا

And truly, unto Us

لَلْآخِرَةَ

the last (Hereafter)

وَالْأُولَىٰ

and the first (this world)
