قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ ١

Successful indeed are the believers.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ

Indeed are successful

الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

the believers

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ ٢

Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness.

الَّذِينَ

Those who

هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ

offer their Salat (prayers)

خَاشِعُونَ

with all solemnity and full submissiveness

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ ٣

And those who turn away from Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden).

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ

And those who

عَنِ اللَّغْوِ

turn away from Al-Laghw

مُعْرِضُونَ

Al-Laghw (dirty, false, evil vain talk, falsehood, and all that Allah has forbidden)

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ ٤

And those who pay the Zakat.

وَالَّذِينَ

And those who

هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ

pay the Zakat.

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ ٥

And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts)

وَالَّذِينَ

And those who

هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ

guard their chastity (i.e. private parts)

حَافِظُونَ

from illegal sexual acts

إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ٦

Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame;

إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ

Except from their wives

أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ

or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess

فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ

for then, they are free from blame

فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ ٧

But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors;

فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ

But whoever seeks

وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ

beyond that,

فَأُولَٰئِكَ

then those are

هُمُ الْعَادُونَ

the transgressors;

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ ٨

Those who are faithfully true to their Amanat (all the duties which Allah has ordained, honesty, moral responsibility and trusts etc.) and to their covenants;

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ

Those who are

لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ

faithfully true to their Amanat

وَعَهْدِهِمْ

and to their covenants

رَاعُونَ

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ٩

And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours).

وَالَّذِينَ

And those who

هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ

are upon their prayers

يُحَافِظُونَ

strictly guard

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ ١٠

These are indeed the inheritors.

أُولَٰئِكَ

These are indeed

هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ

the inheritors.

الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ ١١

Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever.

the Firdaus (Paradise)

هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

They shall dwell therein forever
