وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ١

Woe to Al-Mutaffifin [those who give less in measure and weight (decrease the rights of others)],

وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ

Woe to Al-Mutaffifin

those who give less in measure and weight

(decrease the rights of others)

الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ٢

Those who, when they have to receive by measure from men, demand full measure,

الَّذِينَ

Those who

إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ

when they have to receive by measure from men

يَسْتَوْفُونَ

demand full measure

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ٣

And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due.

وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ

And when they have to give by measure

أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ

or weight to men

يُخْسِرُونَ

give less than due

أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ٤

Think they not that they will be resurrected (for reckoning),

أَلَا يَظُنُّ

Think they not

أُولَٰئِكَ

those

أَنَّهُم

that they

مَّبْعُوثُونَ

will be resurrected (for reckoning)

لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ٥

On a Great Day,

لِيَوْمٍ

On a Day

عَظِيمٍ

Great

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ٦

The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?

يَوْمَ

The Day when

يَقُومُ النَّاسُ

(all) mankind will stand

لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)
