نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ٥٧

We created you, then why do you believe not?

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ

We created you

فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ

then why do you not believe?

أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ٥٨

Then tell Me (about) the human semen that you emit.

أَفَرَأَيْتُم

Then tell Me

مَّا تُمْنُونَ

(about) the human semen that you emit.

أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ ٥٩

Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator?

أَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ

Is it you who create it

أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ

or are We the Creator

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ٦٠

We have decreed death to you all, and We are not unable,

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا

We have decreed

بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ

death to you all

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ

and We are not unable

عَلَىٰ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٦١

To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not.

عَلَىٰ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ

To transfigure you

وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

and create you in (forms) that you know not.

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢

And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed?

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ

And indeed, you have already known

النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ

the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam)

فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

why then do you not remember or take heed?

أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ٦٣

Tell Me! The seed that you sow in the ground.

أَفَرَأَيْتُم

Tell Me!

مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ

The seed that you sow in the ground.

أَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ ٦٤

Is it you that make it grow, or are We the Grower?

أَأَنتُمْ

Is it you

تَزْرَعُونَهُ

that make it grow

أَمْ

or

نَحْنُ

are We

الزَّارِعُونَ

the Grower

لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ ٦٥

Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry pieces, and you would be regretful (or left in wonderment).

لَوْ نَشَاءُ

Were it Our Will,

لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا

We could crumble it to dry pieces,

فَظَلْتُمْ

and you would be

تَفَكَّهُونَ

regretful (or left in wonderment).

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ ٦٦

(Saying): "We are indeed Mughramun (i.e. ruined or lost the money without any profit, or punished by the loss of all that we spend for cultivation, etc.)! [See Tafsir Al-Qurtubi, Vol. 17, Page 219]

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ٦٧

"Nay, but we are deprived!"

بَلْ نَحْنُ

Nay, but we are

مَحْرُومُونَ

deprived!

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي تَشْرَبُونَ ٦٨

Tell Me! The water that you drink.

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ

Tell Me!

الْمَاءَ الَّذِي

the water that

تَشْرَبُونَ

you drink.

أَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ الْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنزِلُونَ ٦٩

Is it you who cause it from the rainclouds to come down, or are We the Causer of it to come down?

أَأَنتُمْ

Is it you

أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ

who cause it to come down

مِنَ الْمُزْنِ

from the rainclouds

أَمْ نَحْنُ

or are We

الْمُنزِلُونَ

the Causer of it to come down

لَوْ نَشَاءُ جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ٧٠

If We willed, We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable), why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)?

لَوْ نَشَاءُ

If We willed,

جَعَلْنَاهُ أُجَاجًا

We verily could make it salt (and undrinkable),

فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ

why then do you not give thanks (to Allah)?

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ النَّارَ الَّتِي تُورُونَ ٧١

Tell Me! The fire which you kindle,

أَفَرَأَيْتُمُ

Tell Me!

النَّارَ الَّتِي

the fire which

تُورُونَ

you kindle,

أَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا أَمْ نَحْنُ الْمُنشِئُونَ ٧٢

Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower?

أَأَنتُمْ

Is it you

أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَا

who made the tree thereof to grow

أَمْ نَحْنُ

or are We

الْمُنشِئُونَ

the Grower

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا تَذْكِرَةً وَمَتَاعًا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ٧٣

We have made it a Reminder (for the Hell-fire, in the Hereafter); and an article of use for the travellers (and all the others, in this world).

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَاهَا

We have made it

تَذْكِرَةً

a Reminder

وَمَتَاعًا

and an article of use

لِّلْمُقْوِينَ

for the travellers (and all the others, in this world)

فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ ٧٤

Then glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.

فَسَبِّحْ

Then glorify

بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ

with praises the Name of your Lord

الْعَظِيمِ
