تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ ٢
These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear].

لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ ٣
It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief, that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism].
- لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ
- It may be that you (O Muhammad SAW) are going to kill yourself with grief
- أَلَّا يَكُونُوا مُؤْمِنِينَ
- that they do not become believers [in your Risalah (Messengership) and in your Message of Islamic Monotheism]
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ آيَةً فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ ٤
If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility.
- إِن نَّشَأْ
- If We will,
- نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم
- We could send down to them
- مِّنَ السَّمَاءِ
- from the heaven
- آيَةً
- a sign,
- فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَاقُهُمْ
- to which they would bend their necks
- لَهَا خَاضِعِينَ
- in humility.
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ ٥
And never comes there unto them a Reminder as a recent revelation from the Most Beneficent (Allah), but they turn away therefrom.
- وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم
- And never comes there unto them
- مِّن ذِكْرٍ
- a Reminder
- مِّنَ الرَّحْمَٰنِ
- from the Most Beneficent (Allah)
- مُحْدَثٍ
- as a recent revelation
- إِلَّا كَانُوا
- but they turn away
- عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ
- therefrom.
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ ٦
So they have indeed denied (the truth - this Quran), then the news of what they mocked at, will come to them.
- فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا
- So they have indeed denied (the truth - this Quran)
- فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ
- then the news will come to them
- أَنبَاءُ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
- of what they mocked at
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ ٧
Do they not observe the earth, how much of every good kind We cause to grow therein?
- أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا
- Do they not observe
- إِلَى الْأَرْضِ
- the earth,
- كَمْ أَنبَتْنَا فِيهَا
- how much We cause to grow therein
- مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ
- of every good kind?
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٨
Verily, in this is an Ayah (proof or sign), yet most of them (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers.
- إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ
- Verily, in this
- لَآيَةً ۖ
- is an Ayah (proof or sign)
- وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم
- yet most of them
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- (polytheists, pagans, etc., who do not believe in Resurrection) are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ ٩
And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
- وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ
- And verily, your Lord!
- لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ
- He is truly the All-Mighty,
- الرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful.
