يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١
O Prophet! Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
- يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ
- O Prophet!
- تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي
- Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allah has made lawful to you,
- مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ
- seeking to please your wives?
- غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
- And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
قَدْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَانِكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ ٢
Allah has already ordained for you (O men), the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector, etc.) and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.
- قَدْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ
- Allah has already ordained for you
- تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَانِكُمْ ۚ
- the dissolution of your oaths.
- وَاللَّهُ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ
- And Allah is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector, etc.)
- وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ
- and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.
