يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ١

O Prophet! Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allah has made lawful to you, seeking to please your wives? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ
O Prophet!
تُحَرِّمُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبْتَغِي
Why do you ban (for yourself) that which Allah has made lawful to you,
مَرْضَاتَ أَزْوَاجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ
seeking to please your wives?
غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

قَدْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَانِكُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ ٢

Allah has already ordained for you (O men), the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector, etc.) and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.

قَدْ فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ
Allah has already ordained for you
تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَانِكُمْ ۚ
the dissolution of your oaths.
وَاللَّهُ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ
And Allah is your Maula (Lord, or Master, or Protector, etc.)
وَهُوَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ
and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise.
