إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا ١

When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake.

إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ

When the earth is shaken

زِلْزَالَهَا

with its (final) earthquake

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا ٢

And when the earth throws out its burdens,

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ

And when the earth throws out

أَثْقَالَهَا

its burdens

وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا ٣

And man will say: "What is the matter with it?"

وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ

And man will say

مَا لَهَا

What is the matter with it?

يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا ٤

That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil).

يَوْمَئِذٍ

That Day

تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا

it will declare its information

about all what happened over it

of good or evil

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا ٥

Because your Lord has inspired it.

بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ

Because your Lord

أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا

has inspired it
